SNUG Organization FAQs

SNUG K-12, the Schools National Users' Group, is a national community of K-12 professionals who support enterprise systems used in school districts and educational organizations across the United States.

SNUG is for K-12 professionals who work with district systems, operations, and processes. Members include staff working in areas such as finance, human resources, payroll, student information, recruiting, reporting, technology, and operations.

SNUG's mission is to empower members to connect with peers, learn proven practices, and share innovative methods to improve K-12 educational outcomes.

SNUG helps members connect with peers, share practical solutions, learn from experienced users, and collaborate on ways to strengthen district operations and software use.

SNUG supports K-12 professionals working with a variety of enterprise and operational systems. The community includes members focused on ERP, HR, payroll, finance, student information, recruiting, reporting, technology, and related district systems.

SNUG membership is open to individuals and organizations that utilize and/or support K-12 software systems and pay dues as established by the SNUG Board of Directors. Members may include school districts, educational organizations, and professionals who support K-12 operational, administrative, and enterprise systems.

Both individuals and organizations may become SNUG members. Each current Individual Member or Member Organization has one vote on matters submitted to the membership.

Member benefits include access to the SNUG Slack community, the member directory, previous conference presentation materials, peer support, shared problem-solving, and discounted National Conference registration.

Yes. Members can participate in the SNUG Slack community to ask questions, share ideas, and stay connected with K-12 peers beyond the annual conference.

Yes. Members can use the member directory to find and connect with other SNUG members by organization, role, or area of focus.

Yes. Members can access presentation materials from previous user conferences, including practical examples, district processes, and shared solutions.

Yes. SNUG members receive discounted registration for the National Conference.

Members can connect through the SNUG Slack community, member directory, shared resources, and SNUG events.

Members collaborate on practical district operations topics such as finance, payroll, HR, student information, recruiting, reporting, technology, ERP processes, and operational workflows.

Yes. The member directory and Slack community help members connect with peers by organization, role, or area of focus.

Yes. SNUG resources are designed around real K-12 operational work, shared district examples, peer learning, and practical solutions.

SNUG is led by the SNUG K-12 Board. The Board guides the organization, supports member engagement, and plans and executes the annual National Conference.

The SNUG Board includes officers and Directors-at-Large from K-12 districts and organizations across the country.

Board members serve three-year terms.

Board nominations are accepted annually and voted on during the Annual Membership Meeting at the National Conference.

The Board supports the organization throughout the year, including board operations, member communication, membership support, digital tools, vendor coordination, conference planning, and event operations.
